One-Day Online Administrative Training Programme on “Workplace Transformation”

The Institute of Business Management, GLA University, organized a one-day online Administrative Training Programme on 21st December 2020 on the theme: “Workplace Transformation,” wherein eminent IAS, IFS officers and intellectual academicians delivered expert talks on various topics related to the theme. The programme was designed to train teaching and non-teaching staff members of different department of the university for the development of complete Persona to make themselves fit in this era of transformation.

The inaugural Session of the Online Administrative training Programme was graced by Hon’ble Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Prof. A M Agrawal, HoD, IBM-UG, Prof. Somesh Dhamija and Associate Head Prof Aruna Dhamija. The programme was conducted in four sessions. The first session was addressed by Dr. S Rajesh, IFS, Director -NITI Aayog, Director COVID-19 Management Core Team, Department of Health Research, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India on theme “An Overview of the Policy Development Processes with the evidence from the State Health Index 2018 Development Process”. Dr Kalpana Gopalan, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Youth Empowerment & Sports, Government of Karnataka, was at the helm of the second session on the topic “COVID-19 and the Changing World of Work”. The third session of the programmes saw the presence of Dr Nishant Kumar, Postdoctoral Research Fellow, National University of Singapore (NUS), Ph.D., Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi. Dr Nishant addressed the programme on the topic “Importance of Cyber Security in Modern Day Society” while the fourth and last session of the event centered on the topic “How to Market Yourself- Skills Development” by Dr. Jacinta Dsilva, Assistant Professor in Marketing, Dept. of Business Management, Modul University, Dubai.         

The event witnessed participation from teaching and non-teaching staff of different departments of GLA University. All the sessions were highly informative and enriching. The participants found them very useful for their academic as well as overall personality development.

The Valedictory session was graced by HoD, IBM-UG, Prof. Somesh Dhamija, and Associate HoD, IBM-UG, Prof. Aruna Dhamija. Dr Trilok Pratap Chauhan delivered a formal vote of thanks on behalf of Institute of Business Management. He expressed his gratitude to the resource persons for their informative sessions and to the participants for their enthusiastic participation throughout the event. Prof. Aruna Dhamija motivated the participants for their active participation in such kind of events. The program was organized under the able leadership and guidance of Prof. Somesh Dhamija, Prof. Aruna Dhamija, and Dr. Trilok Pratap Singh Chauhan and coordinated by Dr Garima Sainger. The members of the Organising team were Dr Rubee Singh, Dr. Mehfooz Alam, Mr. Shashank Kathpal, Dr. Anand Gupta and Ms Devika Agrawal.
