Q1. Please share your educational and professional journey?

I have completed my BE Information Technology in 2004, than started Teaching Career as a profession in Engineering College. During the job I have started working in part time with the Network Administrator and get exposure to the Real Time college network. As I found networking as one of the most interesting topic during my BE, I have started my Masters Study from I2IT – PUNE with the specialization of “Advance Networking & Telecommunication” in the year 2007 – 2009. During my masters, I got offer letter from Vegyan System – incubated in IIT – Bombay. But choice and destiny was different. I have rejected the offer and get back to the home town and continue the same job of Professor. And keep in mind to start my own business, I started part time computer shop in the year 2010.

Q2. You are a Co-Founder of RPI SHOP. Please share about your venture?

Working as a Professor in the IT department of Engineering College, I take many challenges of Hardware Projects. And because of such challenge, I am able to start my own Firm in the year 2013 called as “RPI SHOP” with one of my student as a partner.

Initially we were preparing enclosure of Embedded Boards, called “Raspberry Pi”, “Arduino”, “Bannana Pi”,etc. We were only trading in initial days. Later we found that if we have some machineries, we can save time and we can offer the same at cheap rate to the client. Initially our clients were Students & Hobbyist, they have to play in a limited budget for the projects.

Later we were able to get bulk order and even we were having lot of clients from PAN INDIA. Gradually we have started selling many items ONLINE (major all E-Commerce) Platform and offline to the clients. One of the appreciation we got from AMZON is “TOP 10K Seller on AMAZON for 2019 FY”.

Q3. What kind of hurdles did you face in your journey?

We are fresher in the business, in terms of legal documentation, banking and all other related stuff. We surf the internet and found all procedure to over come the challenge.

As we were selling our product online, we should have all the documents. Without documents you are not allowed to create even account on E-Commerce Platform.

Many a time we were running behind the courier person to ship a single parcel. We were able to achieve the goal called “Same Day Shipping”. It is one of the mile-stone one has to reach, when you are working as an online vendor.

As well many a time financial crisis, because as a New Entrepreneur, not a single Bank is ready to offer LOAN. But we have to balance everything, once you are in Business. 

Q4. You had been teaching Computer Science for more than 10 years. What was your that experience?

Yes, Teaching is a noble profession and I love teaching. Still I am ready to be a professor. I have wonderful experience with students and management. I love to perform challenging experiments and labs which are not either mention in theory or which are out of box. Many a time you feel that instead of technical teaching you are doing a job of clerk. And as soon as being old in the teaching profession, you will become more Administrator than actual Technical Profession.

That is the only reason I left the job and switch over to Business.

But today also I love to teach students and share the technical knowledge, provided I have to do only technical work.

Q5. How do you handle stress in this fast and competitive life?

Whatever we are doing either job or business, is for Family only. When I go home at the end of the day, and meet family, I feel more relax. I learnt to maintain personal and professional life separate. That is the Success of Key over the Stress.

Q6. Who is your source of motivation?

My family is always the source of motivation. But in many situation my wife supports a lot. You can not share all the things with parents, other wise they will be in tense. My wife give more and more support in each situation of life. She also support to switch over from job to business and motivate to expand the business. After couple of years, I became a father of cute baby doll. Now a days she is stress buster for me when I reach home from the business and fill some more energy to work on next day.

Q7. Where do you want to see yourself after 10 years in career?

We are among the top 2500 seller on AMAZON INDIA today. We wish that with in couple of years we will be the top among all E-commerce platform. I personally wish that my company start manufacturing all type of Electronics & IoT related solutions and supply to all over the world with as much low rate as possible.

I wish that we can be able to manufacture all the electronics need in INDIA. May be I need to work very hard to achieve, but there is not alternate of Hard Work to become Successful in your field.

Q8. What do you do in your free time? Do you update yourself in terms of education?

Yes, during free time I love to upgrade my knowledge base. Now a day’s many online platform provides Technical Learning. I used to learn and design the course for the young generation also.

I have recently launch Your Tube Channel to provide Technical stuff on Raspberry Pi, Arduino and IoT. As well I have designed course on Udemy on Iot.

As well I love long drive and outings with family and friends. We used to travel for sort and long trips and enjoy the time.
