Interview with Abhinav Tripthi
Abhinav Tripthi
Founder at My Classroom Foundation
New Delhi, India
Q1. Please share your educational and professional journey with us?
I am an MBBS dropout and have been teaching students for last 7 years. That is my profession. I have been a social worker and raising voice for the people and benefit of society so that’s my profession too. I am a revolutionist trying to bring change in the education sector so that’s my profession too.
Q2. What kind of solutions do you provide at your venture “My Classroom Foundation”?
MCF was founded with the vision that low cost education must reach every student. Very first we provide unlimited free test series for many exams. We are expanding and aiming to cover all the exams in India by 2025. Apart from that we will be providing classes, doubt centers and other guidance too at the lowest price in India.
Q3. How do you excel students in their academics and career?
As of now, we know that practice is the only key to success. Hence we are providing them test series free of cost.
Q4. Which one thing do you want to change in yourself and why?
Do you want to? Aint I enough already? Hahaha jokes apart, it’s just that I want to do a lot of things very quickly which my team says that I have to change but I don’t see any reason!
Q5. How do you see the education pattern in India comparing to other countries? Do you have any suggestion to make it more practical?
That’s a typical question. I am very hopeful about the New Education Policy. Till now we are a bit outdated. Our students can do wonders we know that. But they are not guided properly. We have more of a learning content rather than experimenting content.
For example, we must tell the students why we need average, what good is it for and then tell how to calculate it. Approach needs to change. We are learning a lot of things but dont know why is it useful or how is it helping us. This must be changed.
Q6. How do you motivate yourself at every morning?
Every morning my phone is flooded with texts from students about doubts, wishes, enquiries etc. That’s enough to motivate me. During result time students come with their success stories, which keeps me going for a year!!
Q7. Online study is running very well now days. How do you see this new study pattern comparing to traditional offline study?
Online study is running well, but it needs a lot of modifications. Present model is more of a marketing model and less focused on results. You will see modification in MCF model. It is better as it guarantees anytime access but again it can not beat traditional classes. I would say both will complete each other rather than competing with each other.
Q8. Tell us about one of the moments which changed your perspective towards life?
It’s not one. I come across many wrongs everyday and they just affect me. Since I have been into education field so I see scope for improvement in this field.
Q9. Which one skill do you like most about yourself?
Confidence and robust attitude.
When I am convinced of an idea, there is no stopping me then.
